CUTS THE WATER WITH NEW MACHETE PROPS
MotorGuide has a long list of successful trolling motor prop designs: the Hannon Competition series, the Ninja 2 blade Power prop and the Ninja 4 blade Weedless prop, just to name a couple.
Now, Machete I and Machete II have joined the line-up.
Both are 3 blade props, but the Machete I is aluminum, and the Machete II is glass-filled nylon. The aluminum version provides MotorGuide big powerful 107 pound thrust motors with an undaunted, no-flex and maximum thrust performance. The special nylon constructed version offers the same parabolic rake design and smoother torque curve of its metal counterpart, but at lower thrust requirements.
Sound like pretty technological jargon for trolling motor props? It is. But it is okay to do that if one of your sister Brunswick companies just happens to be Mercury, the outboard motor company and prop experts, who graciously contributed to the new Machete prop design.
You see, MotorGuide takes building their new products just as most anglers do their fishing – seriously.
While both of the new props come standard on select MotorGuide models, they are also available as replacement props. The Machete I sells for about $39.99, the Machete II for $24.95.
